Anonymous Poetry

Accidental Poet

Here I sit

Anticipation has my thoughts

My muse that never sleeps

Flirting with a lyrical jackpot

Enslaved to my muse

Held hostage be it day or night

Pay no mind to the hour

My pen ready to write

The subject matter will vary

Whatever pulls upon my heart

My job is to write it down

My muse’s lyrical art

Well look ye there say I

A poem upon the page

Where from that came

I’ll sit, ponder and gaze

All credit goes to my muse

Keeping me innocent as can be

I just wrote it down

Anonymous poetry

Who wrote this? Is it anonymous?! lol.

I did see a masked poet hysterically laughing while quickly escaping out the back door saying "Oh Orchi will be swooning all over the place". 🤣

(this is deep, a twin edged poetic pen
as chosen sword in that battle of art
      'anonymous' poetry
      nondescript in theme or imagery
yet a thread of meaning, as exposition
      to our shared artistic ideals:
      'A poem upon the page
      Where from that came from
      I’ll sit, ponder and gaze'
and share, so others may be gifted
      by creativity's viral inspiration;
      then again 'anonymous'
      in aspiring to circumvent posterity's
      trending, merit status
this be that poetry, imbued with its own
      undisputed, worth!)
and more power to you, dear Poet
