That day has come
When you have reached that age,
A special age in your life.
All those years in this world
Enjoying so many things,
To you Gordon I pay my respects,
My absolute respects.
A gentleman of honour
Who I have only known
For a very short time
In your life,
But a meeting that I have enjoyed.
So on this day,
This day of your eightieth birthday
I will raise a glass,
A glass of Laphroaig of course,
And wish you Happy Birthday
And hope for many more to come.

a grand tribute to a dear pall and what better than to toast his big day and health with a pint (only joking) of single malt Laphroaig .. cheers 🥂
Thank you Neville, yes it was not a pint but a fine amount of that fine single malt.

Although friendships might "end" because of a physical separation, their memories are always with us, and that simple fact makes our relationships eternal
Very true Rocky, thank you.
