Speed

Lorna

Slow till the quiet road

Then manual shift

Love of my life old car

Moves into the wind

Roaring in the opposite direction

Forward in time

Unfettered

Thrumming the engine

Like an Abba song

"SPEED" is a wonderful piece of poetry that captures the essence of the love of driving and the thrill of being behind the wheel of a powerful car.

Fun isn't it! As long as we don't get a ticket...........

Just the market ....but I was speeding off to a horseshow to find Jay like I've done a thousand times before! I'm never 100% rooted in reality but that should be obvious by now..........

It surprisingly hit me w authentic truth. Surprisingly , because ABBA would’ve the soundtrack played by my enemies tp punish me. I run from their music yet I felt the importance of their inclusion in your piece. Gravitas shared

driving, one of my passions in life
nothing like jumping straight to 2nd
then from 2nd to 4th gear
without missing a bit or having your rev, stutter or strain
flowing free, as if metal were wings
          and tarmac our freedom clouds..
          fly safe did kindred poet
          thank you!
