A morning walk
The beauty of spring
Trees bursting with blooms
Grass dripping with dew that shimmers in sunlight
It is time for Mozart!
I hold it here, in the palm of my hand
The music of the maestro
And all I have to do is press a button
The glorious Oboe Concerto in G Major, Rondo (Allegretto) engulfs me
Suddenly the colors of nature seem more vibrant
The fragrance of the air sweeter
The sun brighter
My stride synchronizes with the tempo of the music
And with a bounce in my step, I cannot help but smile
The oboe is racing up and down, twirling
Playing joyfully with every note
Looking up into a tree, I see a bird
And I can imagine the sound of the oboe
Coming from its tiny throat
A soloist performing just for me
I stop to gaze, raise my arms
And follow the flow of the music
Conducting this extraordinary symphony
Arms gesturing, body swaying, head bobbing
I lead them through the score, to its conclusion
The final notes sounded
The audience rises as one and shouts Bravo!
In a sweeping arm movement
I acknowledge my soloist
Turn and take a bow
Until tomorrow, dear maestro
When we will once again
Play our concerto

it is not hard, to both see and to hear why you dear Bella were so inspired to positively exploit such a series of recollections, associations and subsequent juxtapositions which have ultimately culminated in this, your personal dedication and homage to the great Man ... πΌπΆπ΅π€πΆπ΅
Dearest Nev your comment is priceless. I will aspire to live up to your carefully chosen words, and as always your comments mean the world to me.
Music is very meditative-thank you for taking us to your walk.
Thank you so much for reading and walking with me. You are right, the meditative quality of music often carries me through the roughest day.
Mozart is wonderful, I have all his recorded music on CDs and at the moment in the evenings am listening to his piano concertos before going to bed.

I can't think of a lovlier way to end the day, thank you for sharing. We recently attended a Candlelight Concert of the Best of Beethoven performed by a string quartet, and have tickets for the best of Mozart in May, can't wait.
I am sure that you will enjoy that very much.

Good write Bella.
Thank you Orchi!
The god of music celebrated in this piece. how excelent to choose the mortal man that embodied music in is genius. God or nature the master of universal music represented by his musical genius creation the bird. What a symphony for the ear both as music and poem. Thank you for an uplifting message this morning dear Bella.
I like to think that the beginnings of music perhaps mimicked the melodious beauty of birdsong, it is a treat each day to walk with both. I love the phrase "The mortal man that embodied music in his genius", it describes him so well. Thank you for this insightful and truly uplifting comment. I think that God must be a music lover to have embodied man and bird with such wonderful attributes.
Playing as I pop in and add this little note, Bella. Will continue as I move on (via utube). Some habits are value, and now I have both the visual and aural picture of this particular habit of yours for some considerable time to come. Thanks for your write.
Thank you dear friend for your lovely comments and for sharing my particular habit, it's one that gets me through each day. Take care, and may your days be filled with beautiful music!
This couldn't be clearer!
Your imagery is so vivid and engulfing, and your effervescent experiences with nature are awe-inspiring. I used to be in my middle school's orchestra, I played the viola, and my time there really enriched my appreciation for classical music. The oboe is one of my favorite instruments, too! Thank you for this marvel.
Thank you my dearest friend, your comments truly make my heart smile. There is something very magical about classical music paired with nature. Then there is the oboe, I fell in love with it when Michael Kitchen, in "Enchanted April", played Elgar's Chanson de Matin for Miranda Richardson. The sound of that solo instrument just about made me cry, it was so mellow and beautiful. I can imagine how much playing the viola enriched you, the instrument and the music become part of you. It is nice to share this love of something so special, keep the music in your heart my friend.
Brilliant!
