Sculpture Of Happiness.

Goldfinch60

The stone sits before the artist,

He chips away and a sculpture appears,

A thing of such beauty.

How does he do it?

He knows that the beauty is there,

There within the stone

And just removes the extra parts.

The same can be said of happiness,

Happiness is within you

But is hidden,

Hidden by worries in your life.

Remove the worries

And the happiness in life

Will always be with you.

      lovely metaphor, indeed
happiness, is a mindset and a choice
not a lottery ticket or happenstance
      again, wonderful wisdom Andy

The poem offers a valuable insight into the nature of happiness and encourages readers to focus on removing the obstacles that prevent them from experiencing it.

          • Goldfinch60

You are so right Mottakeenur, people just do not remove obstacles in their lives and so they cannot find happiness. I do remove those obstacles.

My Lord!!! Such a precise and wonderfully written poem. This metaphor is so exact, and I applaud you for thinking up such a vivid image to illustrate the inner beauty each being possesses.

Remove all the badness and leave only the good. I have often marveled at the skill of sculptors. To take a large stone and chip away at it to create a piece of beauty. "How does he do it." Indeed! - Phil A.

                  Very true Phil, thank you.
