Tune: Bread of heaven
('Bread of heaven on thee we feed')
Psalm 67
*******
God to us be merciful
Show us your grace bountiful
Bless us, cause your face to shine
Lighten us with light divine
That your way on earth be known
And your saving health be shown
Let, O God, the people praise
You, unto you fair songs raise
O let the nations be glad
Sing for joy, and not be sad
For you shall judge righteously
Your just governance we see
Let the people, you God, praise
All people in all their ways
Then shall the earth her increase
Yield, God's love, it shall not cease
For He us shall bless and all
The earth fear Him, on Him call

that's an awful lot of hymn poems
Thanks N. Not an 'e'ermore' here, but a typo - it said 'erth' in last line - now corrected!
Or was it a poetic 'e'rth'? I talk some rubbish sometimes, as you know. lol.
"Merciful Musings" is a well-crafted poem that effectively communicates its religious themes and messages of praise and gratitude to God. Its simplicity and accessibility make it a suitable piece for use in religious services or personal devotion.
Thanks M. I said 'goodbye' to one church, partly as they would not have any of my poems. It was not where they were "at", they said. They had to do 'Choruses', about 500 times the same one - seemed like 500! Oh, they hardly knew what a hymn book is anyway!
Sing? you boast about your singing (bad that is) means you never heard mine. So that Supreme Being you believe in would vacate that space if I presented my vocal rendition, orchi. Gone. Would ya still crack on with your hymns regardless?
Thanks Dave. You musing?!
I do muse orchi, re your plight after your friend in the heavens has done a runner....
But where can He go, if He is everywhere? omnipresent.
Infinity goes forever in all directions...........
merciful musings and compassionate crooning... there is comfort in these.
Thanks CB. I'm gonna croon! lol.
Ah!
Thanks Rocky.
I never knew God "Blees us", maybe he blees you Orchi, and the rest of us he blessed. 🤔
Oh no, a typo - will correct it! Thanks AP.
ok, that's a relief. God only knows what blees would be for. Maybe KP knows? 😁
Good one Orchi.
Thanks Gold.
