The Dawning Grace.

David Wakeling

Today is the dawning of eternal grace,
The folly of yesterday is but a gentle breeze,
That simply brushes past the face,
And the thought of Tomorrow’s oblivion puts us at ease.

As abandoned children we wander this immortal garden,
Occasionally finding the wisdom flower,
Rarely do we lift our heads to wonder at the glorious blue,
And remember that our purpose here is to be grateful.

Thankful for a moment  in the light of day,
A chance to feel, to sing and pray,
To breathe the air with joy and awe,
Pleased to sail this boat into the future shore.

I'm confused about 'tomorrow'. I never seem to find it. When it gets here, it's always 'today'! heehee.
