They shall give drink to my people

This people have I for myself

Though they grew dull and did not do

Service to the Lord, but did sin

Unfaithful family and kin

 

Yet I, even I, am the Lord

It be according to my word

That I blot out your sins each one

For my own sake it shall be done

 

I will not your sins remember

I will sure act and not defer

Thus come me, forgiven be

To me for your salvation free
