Gain what you can.
Save what you can.
Give what you can.
In this life so many just think,
Just think of themselves,
Wanting what they want
What they want in their lives,
Not caring for others.
All they want to do,
Is to gain what they can.
Then there are people
Who save what they can,
Save not just for themselves
But save for others in their lives,
Caring for others they know,
And even caring for others
That they do not know.
Then there are the people
Who give to others,
Give to others in their lives.
As there are people in this world
That struggle with their existence
And need such help,
Need all the help they can get.

So true. Love your neighbour as yourself. Times are getting tougher and the governments won't cope.
Thank you 2781, yes governments won't cope as there is nothing in it for themselves if they help others.

Good write Gold.
Thanks Orchi.
Oh nooooo! KP's on the front page of a newspaper. Not read all the story yet. Bad enough seeing her pic!
Saw Carol Vorderman on the tele last night, she seems to have inherited KP's body!
The simplicity of the language and the repetitive structure contribute to the poem's effectiveness in conveying its message clearly and directly.
Thank you Mottakeenur, much appreciated.
