As much as the thought of death terrifies me
I can't help but imagine
it must be beautiful?
well, none on earth
can say they have been to see for themselves?
otherwise they’d have to explain
how on earth can they be here now?
If you'll pardon my pun
I guess I was dead before I was born?
That’s a theory personal to me
I don't remember it hurting
before I was alive
sometimes, life hurts now though
I know many people
who are on the other side
i've never heard of any of them coming back
because they hated it?
and why are graveyards so terribly cold?
not much fun nor pleasant on the eye
even though a tombstone has a name on it
all those names are just a memory for someone here right?
having visited many graves
I can honestly say
It’s a peaceful place
dark to the living heart yes
yet I believe those lost souls
must be somewhere?
probably in a parallel world
of complete content?
not as who they once were
but as themselves
and who they always really wanted to be?
it must be a beautiful place
full of every wonder that we don’t have here?
when I get there
maybe i’ll even be a songwriter?
because…
life really is, like a song.

It's the death of song, when I start to sing! heehee.
Oh definately lol 🤣
Thy say - boo hoo, song ruined for ever. Not just one song, the general concept of 'song'. lol
You will sit down with Dante then. LoL 🤣
Very deep, Teddy.
It sure is thank you Dave. X

Thank you dear Andy. 💖
I found the whole experience of reading & then re-reading each of these lines peculiarly reassuring ..
I was going to say encouraging, but on immediate reflection, I am happy with the r word I first chose above .. thank you Teddy ❤️
Thank you dearest Nev ❤️
You've gone deep on me Teddy, and I love it!!! "yet I believe those lost souls must be somewhere?", me too! This is so beautiful! Looking at death as a rebirth sort of....where we end up being...who we were always meant to be! The unknown.....And ummmmm you already are a songwriter!!! 💖💖💖💖
Thank you for your absolutely beautiful words dear Liz, ❤️ brought a tear to my eyes ❤️
This is not only a piece that makes one think deeply on the subject of death, but it also provides a happy idea of death, which is a welcome change. Beautiful!
I truly hoped it might. Thank you dearest Michael I really appreciate you coming by to say. 💖
Wow, incredible piece Teddy, I have always found cemeteries peaceful, I don't know why, maybe it's because I know it that those souls are at peace and sleeping, in a way,
But I also believe that there is coming judgement day where God will separate the good from the bad, in the Bible it says the sheep from the goats, and the good will be in a very beautiful place that's peaceful , no pain , HEAVEN,
and the bad will go on to forever torment, paying for their murders, rapes , child abuse and so on....
I'm very confident that I'm going to heaven, a beautiful paradise full of love and laughter. See u there!!
Hello dear Melissa, as you know I don't believe in the same things you do but I really appreciate your visit. Thank you. 💖
Yeah I know you don't, and that's OK, we are all still brothers and sisters in my eyes
💖
Interesting thoughts that run through all of our minds from time to time. They say that when they used to hang people they would let them pass out then revive them because it was so painful coming back. Then they would hang them again. I think life is more painful than death. As to life after I'll have to wait to see.
Dear Sorenbarret, 🤗 i often think about this and in any case it makes us all think. Thank you so much for coming by dear poet 💖
Wow, an incredibly insightful write, Teddy! Yes I personally believe the same, that we were dead before we were alive. i also don't remember it hurting before I was born......I find cemeteries peaceful, knowing that those spirits are in the beyond. its not like they are there just hanging around. Really thought provoking!
I'm glad I'm not alone in my reflections then dear Christina, I guess we have to try to be positive it's the absolute one thing we all have in common. Thank you dear Christina. 💖
If there is an afterlife, I perceive it to be a state of ecstasy, totally different from this life.
