Feels Like There’s a Stranger in the House
for some
peculiar reason,
there
appears to be
a stranger
in the house ..
and I’m pretty
darn sure
that it’s me ..
we just seem
to have
somehow,
conveniently
forgotten
that when we
were
together ..
we both lived,
in some kind of
symbolic harmony ..

I'm guessing grand parents are visiting the beautiful babe today, my goodness sometimes life can be or feel so complicated, I've felt like a stranger many times being away from home, but actually in the end I'm home. ❤️
funnily enough I did visit my little granddaughter today .. she has been irritable with the snuffles and my daughter was at her wits end .. thanks for stopping by Teddy ❤️
For me, you put into words a feeling that comes over me more and more these days. I'm aging, life is changing, and sometimes I don't recognize the stranger that's here now. This poem is so touching in which ever context you choose to see it. Thank you for sharing!
You really do have a good eye my friend .. thank you so very much .. All Good Things Neville
This is a heartfelt poetry…it feels like issues of adulting for me…with time we forget to cherish the time with ourselves and ending as strangers with the voice inside…lovely poetry dear Neville….
You are far too generous my friend, thank you .. Neville
I respect the mature words, love shifts its energy I presume…

Forever forgotten is different than forgotten rhythm which might suggest a soon repair with in exact procedure. One less or maybe One More black and tan could be a baseline start?
your judge of character flaws is second to none my friend .. many thanks B .. N
Flaw is your word. I believe Hemingway oft referred to his “avant- garde” persona.
Let’s go w Dat!
"The end of the affair"?
Subtle and neat. Though I read through twice before I realised that the first word last line was not 'symbiotic'.
I do appreciate all the trouble you went to in order to arrive at a pretty damn good deduction Dave ..
Such emotive words Neville.
