September 2021 he arrived,
Our New Minister at Church.
Lovely man,
Just what the Church needed
After the last two Ministers,
Ten years we suffered them
But the new one came,
So friendly,
So caring.
We met,
We spoke,
He heard my views,
My views on organised religion
And completely understood.
He was liked by all,
By all in the Church.
But then it happened,
Three months later
He was suspended,
No reason given,
Nobody told us why,
He was ‘Under investigation’!
That was now nearly two years ago
And still we have heard nothing,
Our Church is still without,
Without a permanent Minister!
No wonder Methodists refrain from alcohol,
They know not how,
How to organise a piss-up,
How to organise a piss-up in a brewery.

A sot of 'nudge-nudge, wink-wink' affair? Happened near us. Minister turned out to be a sick paedo in that case.

And yet a terrible thing - a former Vicar cleared of some old pervy charges in a court case. Terrible if they're accused and not guilty.

with plenty of defenceless victims to 'help'
and undergo a church sponsored thorough

in a country with no 'freedom of speech'
no internet connected with the wider world

I agree with your words Mek, organised religion is a farce but this man was so good to talk to unlike the previous two ministers we have had at the church. If only someone would say why this has happened it would help us all.
And
As an alternative view, he was more than liking the real deal, taken out by the real evil.
No minister? Sounds great to me!

Quite likely 2781, perhaps the 'real deal' is no longer approved of in the church.
