Choose your battles wisely, so as not to taste the bitterness of defeat. Seems like a plan, if everyone else agrees to lose. Maybe some things are best left to their natural outcomes.

So true. I used to play tournament Table Tennis and on occasion find played that claimed to have never lost. I knew immediately they had no chance to beat me because if they didn’t respect the game enough to search out and find their “level” then they preferred the comfort of fiction
