how I ache
for that
afterwards
feeling ..
That post
love making,
easy
just being
here
and now
with you,
kind
of feeling ..
The kind
you
might read
about in
posh
magazines ..
Or after
having a
full English
breakfast ..
And
then maybe
just sipping
a few
cold beers
on a balcony ..
Or what
about that
last day
of school,
kind of feeling ..
Like falling
in love
all over again ..
Then
there’s that
almost awake,
part asleep
kind of feeling ..
And you find
without
so much as
looking
a fiver you
knew that you
had in
a pocket ..
But you could
not locate
it until
the very same
moment
you felt that
afterwards
feeling again ..

A good write N, but as for me -
I never even get the 'before' feeling with KP. And as for any bodily contact with her - bleeuurggh! Well, would we kiss a trout?! lol.

Love the poem love the honest admittance. As an aside , the only English girl I dated was all excited to make me breakfast and it ended up being just beans and toast and eggs and I started looking around waiting for the what I thought was a certain to come punchline and when noticed her feelings got hurt and I was forever denied more English
