When the Balance Wheel is Broken

Neville

When the Balance Wheel is Broken

when the balance wheel

   is broken ..

when the main spring

   has been sprung ..

when there are too many

complications

and when the date

and time are both wrong ..

maybe it’s time

to think of saying goodbye

and though not

afraid of death or of dying

I need to die slower ..

since my fine house is not

   yet In order ..

I need to post more first

class letters,

write that last poem down

then go wipe my

computer, before I say my

   final goodbyes ..

Always good to there be that place, that home to go back to when things go awry. Being off kilter is personally for me a killer. Hope the situation has changed for the better since this writing and posting.

I love the phrasing and how the message spins but am personally a bit fearful or ambivalent about all that content and meaning potentially within.

never a good thing to feel off kilter. This has a very sad tone to it. May there be no final goodbyes....

Hope you're OK. Ignore my last comments to you. They were in jest.
Maybe you've got tech problems. I get them from time to time. Your words are always "first class."
A few years ago, I lost my computer to a massive failure and consequently, lost a few years' worth of work. Hope get back to normal soon. - Phil A.

The central question I ask myself from time to time: do I want to go fast or slow...?
Still not sure, but will I, in the end (yeh - that one) have much choice? Rang many bells for me; thanks Neville.
