Hold It, Swill Then Swallow

Neville

Hold It, Swill Then Swallow

When my mind starts to wander

of its own accord,

which it seems to do increasingly ..

I might just wonder,

if you ever think back to the day

when I begged half a cup

of single malt, from a neighbour ..

Indeed, I still query

what he may have thought of me

back then, had I told him

it was not for me, but for the cavity

that kept you up

all night long and in so much agony ..

A Proper salute reminds of fortune and I felt this and what better testimony than the remembered gift of a single malt. Homage defined !

But, did you keep the tooth as a keepsake of that departed lover? Imagine if you will, running into her today and presenting it to her. 🙂

The chance would have been a fine thing .. Pam unfortunately passed away within five years of us each going our separate ways ..

What a touching memory, and how sweet of you to procure the remedy. I hope it did the trick. Long ago memories, always there waiting to pop up. Love this poem!
