Arise In The Darkness.

Goldfinch60

I arise in the darkness

Before dawn’s early light,

I look out the bedroom window

And see the full moon shining,

A beacon of light bringing joy,

Bringing joy and wonder,

Joy and wonder to my life

As once more I have arisen,

Arisen into a new day,

Another new day in my life.

I am so grateful

As the moon has been there,

Been there looking over me

Ensuring that there is light,

That there has always been light

In my long, long life,

And I know it will be there,

Be there forever,

In my life and beyond.

Have ya switched the light bulb on?!
    Good write Gold.
A younger friend grumbled - had to get up 7.30am most days. That's half the morning gone - well, nearly! lol.

No nothing gets switched on 'til I get downstairs.

True 7:30 half the DAY has gone!

I suppose it is half the morning, if the morning starts at midnight!

Get serious now - If nothing gets switched on 'til you get downstairs, then it's a wonder you haven't broken your neck in the dark......
Never mind half the day gone, I have extra long evenings.
However, as I've gained some antiquity, I find myself waking at that ridiculous hour anyway............. Excuse me, I'm after my afternoon nap ..............................
