Leading My Way

Accidental Poet

I know they say

Not to live in the past

But I always knew

My love for you would last

You were the strongest force

Ever to touch my life

Of all women on Earth

Only you Sharon, my heart’s forever wife

And though we’ve not seen each other

Since fourteen years old

My love for you grows

My flame of love never to go cold

So onward through my days

I look for days of new

Everyday your smile

I wake up seeing you

I have tried love again

But it was not to be

I always came back to you

Because you’re where my heart longs to be

And maybe you and I

Were never meant to be

But being who I am, I couldn’t ignore

The most beautiful girl I see

So now I live my life

With you Sharon everyday

Your smile ever present

Leading my way

My memories of Sharon are all I have left of her, so I hold on to them for sanity's sake? I don't know Andy. All I do know is I've had her in my heart for so long, I can't let go. And I hope when she and I are in Heaven she'll understand why I feel as I do for her.

              • Goldfinch60

I am sure that she will understand AP.
