Conscience

Accidental Poet

The conscience

A funny thing

The little voice inside

That accountable ring

Those who couldn’t care less

Give it not a thought

And those who can’t sleep

Until the truth is taught

There upon your shoulders

An angel on either side

One good, one bad

With one you’ll decide

They say do the right thing

But the right thing for who?

Who is more important?

Think, that’s what to do

What’s in your heart

Will be the clear choice

The right thing calls to all of us

But who listens to that voice?

I have always been fascinated by that horns v halo effect that you so poetically refer to .. and so well ..

Thanks N. Horns vs Halos, I'll side with the Halos. 😇

I always listen to that voice AP and do the best I can for all.

As Fido is an unseen dog, I reckon he must be my conscience.
But not all applies equally to Fido and me. I mean, he knows 99% of everything. I know about 1%. lol.

        • Accidental Poet

Well 99% and 1% adds up to KP? 🤔Hmm, .....
