For Those Prone to Dance

Accidental Poet

I can’t dance

With two left feet

I end up not where I intended

When I cross the street

But, if you’re the dancing type

Pardon my stare

I can’t help it when you

Dance with so much flair

It’s a real sensation

When your feet start movin’

Then others join in

And you’re really groovin’

Dance to the left

And dance to the right

Never mind the clock

You can dance all night

Consider yourself

Blessed as being in luck

If you can keep in step

With that of a gifted duck

And be careful, watch your step

Don’t step on dancing toes

Who knows where those toes have been?

Good Lord, they might be my own

What would happen

If you danced on the Moon?

I know if Orchi did

He’d surely swoon

Orchi, did you swoon on the Moon? That's a sight I won't get out of my head. 😁

        • orchidee

Yes lol. The legend is that Goldfinch and I were in fact the first people on the Moon. We came round from the dark side of the moon to greet the first astronauts in 1969. lol. Were you there too?!

          • Accidental Poet

Yes, viewing from my living room at 12 years old. I saw you there hiding behind that rock until Neil Armstrong saw you and thought you were an alien. He reported to NASA that he saw an unidentified alien swooning beyond control, so they quickly got in the lander and left the moon. πŸ‘½

A fun poem. Loved it. Dancing is so liberating and your posted video was a delight to watch. Practice those steps to get better.

              • Accidental Poet

But with my two left feet I'd end up on the floor. Thanks Cassie. I appreciate your reading, hope it made you smile. πŸ™‚

Good one AP but you are not aware that Orchi and I were dancing on the moon when the first astronauts arrived.

                        Andy

                        • Accidental Poet

Oh but I am aware Andy. I was watching on TV when I was 12 years old. Orchi scared Neil Armstrong so much he got back in the lander and left, then called NASA and reported an alien on the Moon. πŸ‘½
