All the Wrong Buttons

All the Wrong Buttons

I don’t

have a clue

what

the hell you

have

done to your

eyes ..

and have no

idea

what we can

do to

try and save

all the

blue in them

either ..

okay so maybe

I’m making

too much of it ..

but if I was

to ease off just

a little bit ..

and it goes

pear-shaped

or belly up ..

what on

earth would

you then

have me do ..

so maybe,

on reflection ..

it is time

now, to give

up and just

let you go blind ..

Who hasn't? Well... nah not too many round here would understand...tho I've laid it out fairly comprehensively if anyone cares to look (as you have)

Pear-shaped? Sounds like KP's face with botox! I'm horrible to her, a naughty furry G-Pig! lol.

go stand on the naughty step & hold your breath for an hour or two

Literal is possible here but I’m feeling metaphor , commentary that speaks to the fact that you’ve already been helping , already with non admittance they chose s deft dance but yet still lean toward your words as if dependent and non responsive could coexist. Did they not know you would recognize folly? Now my question for you is”where might you put that rug?”y

Oh but love is also blind, and those who behold it sometimes never see it. ❤️

I can feel you are not too far away Teddy .. ❤️

              • Jerry Reynolds

I always seem to push the wrong buttons. It's a freaking knack.

Well, press the right button for a change then! heehee. Not necessarily directly relating to Jerry, but a comment in general.

Has the person in question tried opening their eyes? That usually helps. Well penned Sir N. 😉👍

                      • Bella Shepard

I get a feeling in this poem for someone, who despite their best efforts and compassion for another, finds that perhaps the only recourse is to allow them to fail, rather than enabling. I love the way you have presented this. Don't know if I'm interpreting it correctly, but it's a great write!

                        • Neville

Dang you are good Bella .. & no kidding neither .. Neville

                        • Dove

Colors fading from my eyes, I don't know what to do
the suns glare is too hot... should I gaze at you?

                          • Neville

it would be an absolute honour from where I'm laying .. 🤍
