I text you but you don't text back,
I make you a brew, you don't say thanks,
I say good morning, you just look blank.
It's not cool, it's rude.
You drive like you're in a race,
can't keep that look of disdain
from your face,
when it comes to dating, you don't chase.

You ask a question and ignore my replies,
when I talk your roll your eyes,
you'd ruin your best friend's
birthday surprise.

On the times when you did not respond
I felt like I'd done something wrong,
now I see I was right all along.
It's not me, it's you.

Thanks, Dave. Appreciated. I was chunnering to myself at certain friends and family who just don't reply to texts etc. It's not cool, it's rude.. and I thought, hmm that has a ring to it.. ๐
You lead me into new territory, Tom. Never heard (or read) of the word 'chunnering' before so had to explore new territory in differentiating between that and 'chuntering' and did in fact become mightily confused with another very similar word, to whit 'chundering' (Aust inf).
The kind of education I receive at MPS is (occasionally) without peer.
Haha.. yeah, I do tend to use chunnering a lot.. means to grumble. Not sure if it's a common word in the North West UK or if it's just me! ๐

Mustnโt grumble, mustnโt grumble, but you are and so would I, it is rude Tom. You have my heartfelt support. Nothing worse than being treated with indifference. I enjoyed my visit here and hope you have a happy Monday. You conveyed your feelings well in this poem.

I couldn't agree with you more. As my mom would say "there's no excuse for rudeness". Unfortunately, rudeness seems to have become acceptable these days, and even applauded in some of our leaders. Good write, you hit the nail on the proverbial head!
