Tune: Guiting Power
('Christ triumphant, ever reigning')
********
Songs and praises everlasting
Bring to Christ your King
Melodies pleasant now raising
Above everything
He the Lord for evermore
He reigns for sure
We Him adore
Scriptures they to us are written
All contained therein
We may grow so, ever learning
With thoughts discerning
Led by His Spirit to know
His trust, 'tis so
Grace here bestowed
Lifting hearts and hands and voices
We worship in this
Trusting to His presence daily
To continual be
With us, in us, all around
The solid ground
In Christ we [are] found
All shall come to obey your rule
None shall doubt or stall
But you shall show yourself as Lord
True, it be your word
And each enemy submit
In every whit
'Tis meet* and fit
-----
* 'meet' in the sense of suitable, appropriate.

An anticipatory celebration here. Another good write Orchi.
Thanks SB.
I liked this because I love the word winsome ..
Thanks N. Can ya beat a bit of winsome like ya can beat an egg? I dunno what I'm on about! lol.
You prefer it to 'wholesome'?
All those hymns, all those threats to sing the bible stories, yet I've never heard the Song of Solomon appear here. I got all hot and bothered age 14 when I read it in my King Jim version, just before I waved goodbye........phew!
That Song of Solomon can make us swoon if we look into some of the metaphors in it! I will pick out non-swoony bits.
Its in the Bible, mate You can't pick and choose. That's the fault of a number of religions.
Fair warning: You haven't heard the last of this. Keep your peepers glued to the usual place - a full exposé will be coming to a community page near you in the not too distant future............🤣 😂🤣
I won't enter into meanings of 'gardens' etc in that Song of Solomon. I will only swoon! lol.
When I present my findings to the MPS Community, You will do more than swoon.... You will ask for Andy's help to find permanent residency in 1066..... I will miss you, but truth will out.....
amen.
Thanks R.
