Into the Dark

Thomas W Case

With furrowed brow
and a soul full of
sorrow,
I trudge the
lonely road of
perdition.
Providence guides me
as I stumble and fall.
Not even sex or
chocolate
can save me now.

Finding ourselves to save ourselves is an arduous but necessary path.

Love this we certainly cannot rely on the sex or chocolate, I found myself with a smile reading this. Your Bukowski seems to have the same persona as another Bukowski called Charlie lol 🌹 I certainly enjoy your poems sir.

The sec and chocolate nevertheless have value for inspiration. ?? It’s a slice of slice that hits the β€œ EVERYMAN β€œ theme oft celebrated by Capra, Sallinger, Tennessee Williams, etc.
