On the road of life
Many destinations you’ll see
Trips you’ll take over the years
Many a favorite nominee
The rising and setting Sun
And magnetic pull of the moon
Fascination of your heart
Delivering a smile none too soon
A baby’s first words
The wag of a puppy’s tail
The smile from your first love
A letter received in the mail
Help someone in need
Give to someone who has not
Pay it forward
Don’t let it be an afterthought
In life, find a road
That inspires your own art
All roads to happiness
Pass through your heart

I just love this stanza, such beauty in this poetry, dear A.P πΉ
Thank you Teddy, I'm thrilled you love the first stanza. This poem actually began at the end. The last two lines from my Muse. π
So very true AP, in life there is so much good to see and hear.
Andy
Thanks for reading Andy and commenting. ππ
All these happy roads, and me with KP stuck on the road to misery! π My theme song has become 'We're on the road to nowhere'. lol.
Don't forget to stop and smell the roses along the way Orchi. πΉ
Yes lol.
Lovely words, AP. I saw a tiny puppy this morning. His owner says he was freaked out by the noise of the cars, bless him.
Hope he doesn't try to counter act that by chasing the cars when he gets older. π₯
Your poem celebrates life's journey and the moments that bring joy and inspiration. It's a heartwarming reminder to cherish every experience along the way. I love every bit of this. Great work!
Thank you Cloie for your reading and positive review. π
You know it is the little things in life that can gift the most joy. You have given some wonderful examples. We have to learn to grow and nurture our own happiness in life. A wise poem AP. Have a wonderful Tuesday.
Thanks Cassie. So true, happiness doesn't just happen, you do need to grow and make it happen. Hope your Tuesday is a beautiful day too. ππ
You just nailed it with that puppies tail my friend .. well I know you know what I mean .. Neville πΎπΎππ
wag more, bark less. Well, I know you know what I mean, that I know what you mean and you know what I mean. Suddenly I'm feeling dizzy. π«€
A beautiful message that more people need to hear and take notice of. Nicely set to rhyme and with a good flow.
Thanks soren, if more people could focus on the good things in life, I believe they'd spend less time arguing and finding reason to hate each other. π€
All roads to happiness
Pass through your heart... brilliant
Thank you Alan for reading and your compliment. Those last two lines were the beginning of this poem, but as I wrote it, they ended up bringing up the rear. π
"In life, find a road
That inspires your own art
All roads to happiness
Pass through your heart"
You expressed it so beautifully.
Thoroughly loved this one..
Thank you for reading and your ever so appreciated review Meera. ππ
Fantastic write and message
Thanks Peto. Sometimes my Muse really comes through loud and clear. π
I read this poem with a sigh of contentment. You've captured in verse the very foundation of a happy life. Being mindful of each moment, and selflessness in helping others. It is a regemin for good mental and physical health, which no doctor can prescribe. Thank you dear poet, for your oh so insightful words. I just loved this!!
And I just loved your response Bella. It's always so gratifying when you know that what you write really is understood by those who read it. This poem began with the last two lines. π
