My Heartโ€™s Story

Accidental Poet

A love story so rare

I myself in awe

Blessed to be part of

My very own ooh la la

One sided it may be

But I’m so in love with her

For she’s the Sun within my heart

My life’s greatest endeavor

Never would I have guessed

I’d be chosen for such a gift

To stars above my gratitude

Through eons of time, I’d have to sift

Once you’ve known this kind of love

No one else will reach that benchmark

My heart’s core forever owned

Her name tattooed from the start

And I confessed to her so long ago

My heart to her so true

Her heart might belong to another

But love this strong holds me to

My heart’s story so unique

If she ever read these words

I would hope she understands

Sharon is my heart’s greatest reward

Wonderful loving words AP, I am sure that your thoughts about Sharon roam the ether and she gets to know them.

Thank you so much Andy. I often wonder of just that, if somehow my thoughts of her haunt her memories of me. Have a great day Andy. ๐Ÿ˜‰๐Ÿ‘

Oh come on now Orchi, I know if you were to reach deep down inside you, you'd pull up something worthy enough. ๐Ÿ˜‰

It's your heart, hold in it what you will,
but beware of it breaking over and over again. You have opened your heart to the world, let's hope she sees it. A wonderful confession of lost love. Hang in there. - Phil A.

56 years strong Phil, and stronger than ever. Although I don't expect her to see it, It's mostly all a wishful thinking thought. Thank you for reading and commenting Phil. ๐Ÿ˜‰๐Ÿ‘

It's your love story you own it in a perfect world you would be able to share with your Sharon, but I also know you well enough to know that to you it doesn't matter if she ever knew because those moments that you spent together all those years ago are still right in front of you and your poems give you back that day. ๐ŸŒน A love that will last eternity

              • Accidental Poet

One sided love, that sounds painful to me AP,, but you have written a truly beautiful love story here. She has obviously left you with unforgettable memories. Thereโ€™s a great deal of love woven into your lines here. May those memories ever sustain you.

                • Accidental Poet

In most circumstances Cassie you' right, it would be painful. But for me, that pain only lasted a short time. I was focused more on how lucky I was to know her and love her. Love doesn't come along everyday, and at ten years old I knew that I found someone who would be with me for the rest of my life, maybe not from Sharon's point of view, but in my heart. The impact she had on me was life changing and I knew it the first moment I set eyes on her. Thanks for reading Cassie, much appreciated. ๐Ÿ˜‰๐Ÿ‘

You described the one sided love so perfectly and beautifully. Loved it.
