A Message of Love

Accidental Poet

“Sharon honey, are you OK?” says her mother. Sharon wakes up from a deep sleep on the sofa, “What mom? Oh yeah, I was just dreaming the strangest dream.”  “Really?  Do you want to tell me about it.” “Well, in the dream, my future self came to me to give me a message.” “A message? What kind of message Sharon?” “Well, I think it is a message of love. That my future self wants me to know how much she loves me. But also, that there’s a boy in school who loves me so very much. That he adores me more than anything. And he’s captivated with my smile.” “With a surprised look upon her face, Sharon’s mother says, “And do you know who this boy is?” “Yes mom, I think I do. Come to think of it, I seem to remember him looking my way a few times with the hint of his own smile and quickly looking away when I saw him looking at me”

Sharon’s mother smiling to herself for she knows this was a very special dream. “So Sharon, how do you feel about this dream.”  After thinking briefly Sharon confirmed, “Blessed! One, that my future self would come to me in a dream, Two, that she loves me so very much, and Three, that she told me this boy loves me like he does. Love doesn’t come along every day, and here is this boy who worships me of all people. Me, of all the other girls in school he’s in love with me. What more could I ask for?” Sharon says with a smile. Again, Sharon’s mother just smiled being so proud of her daughter. She knew that her daughter now knows what love is.
