From the depths of my heart
A story of love so true
Pulling on heartstrings
All my memories of you
In the spirit of resilience
The past comes alive
After so many years
My love for you survives
Songs that replay in my head
Brings you to mind
All the emotions in my heart
All my memories rewind
I see your smile
Everywhere I turn
And from the depths of my heart
I feel my desire for you burn
I hear your voice
And I know it’s only yesterday
But it’s as if you’re here with me
So magical feeling this way
Pardon me for being so dramatic
Such euphoria, such bliss thereof
When these emotions consume me
The drama of love

And I forever hoping that one day the end of one of your poems, you once again meet. That's just because I'm as romantic as hell for your beautiful poetry of Sharon. πΉ She is forever.your rose my dear A.P β€οΈ
Teddy, you never fail to honor my writing of Sharon with a sincerity that touches right where Sharon lives in me. And I know if she were to read your comments she too would be just as grateful. Thank you, dear poetess. πΉπ«
what truly beautiful words for I am sure a truly beautiful woman AP ..
Thank you N, and just to satisfy your curiosity, I'll put her picture here for you to come back and see. πΉ
That would sure be something .. π
Good write AP.
Am I the drama queen, or is it KP? Or both of us? lol.
Orchi, KP is the Drama Queen and you're the Drama King. Fido can be the Drama Dog. πΆ
The depth of feeling in this write makes me think this is some kind of anniversary
An unbreakable bond without doubt
No peto, no anniversary. Just my everlasting love for my first love of Sharon (pictured above). Although, April 10th was the day that I found out that she would be moving away back in 1971. I cried for days back then, but soon excepted it and felt very appreciative that I had her in my life for 4 years and beyond, now 67 years. She left 53 years ago in June. Yes peto, an unbreakable bond for certain. Thanks for reading and commenting. ππ
So romantic these words of enduring love AP. Not surprised you cried for days after Sharon left for Los Angeles. She was a very beautiful young woman. I listened to your posted music as well. Thank you and happy Monday.
Thank you Cassie, yes Sharon was and is one in a gazillion, well at least to me she is. The song video is the inspiration for my poem here as the singer Helene Sjoholm sings the song with drama and passion that just pulled the words out of me. πΌπΆπ΅πΆπΉπ
I keep praying for a happy ending to this love story. Beautifully written
More than likely when we're both in Heaven, but that's ok, I've waited this long> I'd wait forever if need be. Thank you GenXer. π
Wonderful lovelorn words AP. She may be thinking of you as well.
Andy
That question has been on my mind for 57 years Andy. I'd like to think she is. Thanks Andy. π
