I awoke in the early morn,
The light through the window
Showing it was after dawn
On this summer’s day.
Down the stairs I went,
Through to the conservatory
And out to the garden.
My friends were there
Awaiting for their food,
They sang to me in harmony,
The harmony of Nature’s tunes.
I walked round looking,
Looking at new growth
That was getting stronger,
Stronger and more resilient.
This was going to be a good day
And I had awoken into it,
Another fine day to be had,
To be had in my long life,
My wonderful long life.

Yes Andy - I have absolutely no doubt about that at all. But what comes next? Breakfast with a big glass of Laphroaig and then the poem composition - or do you let the Laphroaig mature a little longer and do the poem first.......?
The Laphroaig matures a little longer as the poem always comes first Dave.

I do like the image of a starving poet...... I think it becomes you....
And may it be longer and longer with better and better health and joy. A most positive write to greet a new day.
Most kind soren, I too wish for those things. Thank you.
