Our River.

Goldfinch60

Along My River I walk,

But it is now Our River

As my lover is by my side,

Holding each other’s hand

Two people so in love.

I look at Our River and see,

See our reflection,

And see two lovers,

Two lovers made for each other.

Our River flows gently passed,

The swans and geese sailing,

Sailing gently with us

As we all journey on our path,

Our path along Our River,

Our River to eternity,

To eternity and beyond.

1959 - the year that changed Jazz
          It concentrated on 4 lp’s
          Kind of Blue - Miles
          Time Out - Dave Brubeck
          Ah Hum - Charlie Mingus
The Shape of things to Come- Ornette Coleman

A great metaphor here Andy a river like a path or trail is a guide to the future but is more defining in its image flowing only one way. A beautiful scene set with images giving a sense of peace and tranquility in the journey leaving a feeling of contentment. Nicely done Andy

I've known you long enough to know there have been times you have walked along the river alone, after joy passed away so to have this new found love with another soulmate Mary, probably makes you one of the luckiest gentlemen on earth. 🌹
