Darkness old friend
my family my home
so familiar when I roam
guiding light to the end
Can't bear to see the sun
blemishes reveal
dark ugliness conceal
cobwebs of illusions spun
Shadows where life can be
false hopes sweet dreams smiles
child like candy hope that beguiles
delusions of beauty
Video games movie TV
justice peace happily ever after
joy relief laughter
shadowy matrix fairytale tranquility

Ignorance is bliss for me, when I don't recognise what type of old trout KP is! lol.

pretty dam good I reckon.
Thanks so much for the read and comment they are valued
Love your title as it's easier to hide in ignorance rather than face what's in front of us. and in what a way you do write with your poetic pen dipped in magic dear sorrenbarret as usual I love every line. 🌹
Too gracious my friend I appreciate the most kind words and your visit is reward enough.
With Teddy above re title. The delusion of our own existence which is so carefully built up and metaphorically delineated in the body of your poem destroys the bliss for those who get it, Soren....... Not fair really - for some of us that's all we have.....................
Thank you so much Dave for the read and most kind words of understanding. They are most appreciated.
Good words soren, so many people do not look in their lives to find the beauty that is there.
Andy
