Jingle Bells!

orchidee

And now, another digression

And a mini-quiz for ya!

Just to say - I dunno what day it is sometimes

Or what month, year, or century!

Now I can't say a certain word

Though you'll guess it from me poem's title

If I say the word except in December

Goldfinch will shoot me!

It's the Ch......... word!

Ohhh, we're nearly halfway there again

Just over six months to go

But let's not wish the year away

Nor be all doom and gloom

By saying -

In the Northern Hemisphere, it's all downhill now

The nights start drawing in again

After the Longest Day!

Though sometimes the days seem longer

In July or August even

Depends if it's rainy in the evenings

With dark clouds I suppose

You got that turkey in yet?

Put it in the deep freeze ready

You got that Ch....... tree in yet?

You seen that fat guy in a red suit

Welly boots and white beard yet?

Why do I hate Ch....... Day morning?

Cos Santa always comes down the chimney

And me lounge is full of soot!

Though Fido barks at him

And he brings Fido bones

And brings KP botox presents

I have to spend all morning

Cleaning it up

By the time I've done that

We don't have Ch....... dinner until about 9pm!
