I think that there could never be
A broad as spry as old Granny
Her leg raises some folk protest
At least she's clothed and not undressed~
```
Ninty-seven with hair all gray
She could outrun me anyday
She doesn't mind if people stare
Those 'wedgies' though are hard to bare~
```
She loves to exercise and train
Her motto is, no pain no gain
Stretching for Granny is a breeze
It loosens up her bony knees~

A great rhythm and rhyme reminiscent of "I think I shall never see a poem as lovely as a tree" A most fun read. Loved the imagery.

Grannie let me tell ya has it all over me,
‘Cos I neva did nor ever will aspire to be a tree.
Doesn’t mean I didn’t like your well engineered parody, Thad – I did. First laugh of the day.
PS: ‘Love trees…..
