Tune: Thornbury
('Thy hand, O God, has guided')
Psalm 89 v.1-7
**********
I will sing of the mercies
Of the Lord, sureties
He gives, and with my mouth will
I make known His name still
His faithfulness unto all
Generations, none fall
For He does uplift, sustain
Comes to their help again
I said, Mercy shall be built
Up for ever, not wilt
Your faithfulness, Lord, you shall
Establish, and do well
Even in the heavens it seen
Unchanging you have bee
Covenant He makes with people
Come to Him, on Him call
David's line He will bless sure
His seed rule, true and pure
Unto all generations
Blessed among the nations
And the heavens, Lord, shall praise
Your wonders, each one says
That you are great, and you faithful
Among your people all
For who in heaven is like you?
Lord, faithful, holy, true
And who can midst human race
Anyone like you trace?
You are greatly to be feared here
We unto you draw near
And reverence and worship give
To you who do e'er live

I aint gonna argue just in case ..
Thanks N. the Psalm goes on for about 37 verses in this vein, then for the last 13 or so verses it seems to say God's forgotten us, etc.
I often think about Abraham's seed and how disobedience the Israelites were.
Good plan that one...spread his seed throughout the world-as it is told. Good, right.
