Forever Loving You

Accidental Poet



 

My days numbered

So sure and true

I’ll go to my grave

Forever loving you

 

Your love has eluded me

My whole life

But even upon my death bed

I’d take you for my wife

 

For once upon a time

You left your mark on me

Since then, my love for you has grown

And I knew it would never cease to be

 

I’ve spent my life

In love with you

And very long ago

I told you I would too

 

Yes, the years

They have been lonely

Without the love of my life

My one and only

 

And yet

Still, you make me smile

No matter the distance

Not in time or miles

 

For the mark you left on me

Has been my greatest treasure

Sharon, the memory of your face and smile

Will forever be my greatest pleasure
