All Was Well Once More.

Goldfinch60

They seemed to be out yesterday,

Those people on the road that were after me.

The lorry that pulled out on the roundabout,

Pulled out in front of me,

Couldn’t argue with him.

The jam at the roundabout

Blocking it completely,

Delaying us getting to our coffee shop.

Coming out of the car park

Three cars pulled out in front of us.

Eventually got home

And in the afternoon I got my revenge,

I hit those croquet balls hard,

Hit them so hard and won my games.

And then calmness was there

As we went into the clubhouse,

Sat down talking to all,

As we drank our tea

And ate our cake.

A good day at the end,

At the end of the day,

The day that started so badly,

Now all was well once more

    • Goldfinch60

Just a strange day as the idiots were out on the road in the morning. All is well.

We can't assume all drivers will stop at pedestrian crossings for us. We might get mown down!

        • Goldfinch60

I stop at pedestrian crossings but sometimes it takes a long time for anybody to turn up to cross the road. LOL

Yes - I wondered why a car was waiting there. Where are the pedestrians when you need them? lol. Some oldies don't stop - drivers aged about 150 who should have stopped driving years ago.

You know why it was a good day in the end? Because you're Andy, and through sheer strength of will you made it that way.

              • Goldfinch60

Such kind words Dave, thank you.

                  Ignorance should be painful. 🙄

                    It surely should be AP.

Life is an endless loop and where there is bad good will always follow, we just don't know when. Glad that all things ended well

A day that ended well after a frustrating start. Andy, there are such idiots on the road you wonder how they ever passed the driving test. Keep calm and play croquet. Happy Tuesday.

                        • Goldfinch60

So true Cassie, I will, I am playing in a croquet match today, a day full of croquet.

Don't you just love it when the clouds part and the sun finally shines through. You weatherd the storm and deserved the reward. Good for you my friend!

                          • Goldfinch60

So very true Bella, the sun always seems to shine on my life.
