Now that’s what I call shopping!
Into the car I got at ten passed one,
Down the road I drove
Into the car park of the shop,
Very near the entrance.
Into the shop I went,
The shop assistant greeted me.
I showed him a picture,
A picture of what I wanted,
He said yes we have that,
He got a case of it
While I picked up a case,
A case of another I wanted.
We went to the till,
He had my details
As I had been there many times.
I paid for the two cases,
He took them out to my car,
I thanked him.
I drove home
And was back indoors,
Back indoors by half passed one.
As I was putting the wine in its place,
The Piersporter in the ‘fridge,
And the Rioja in the wine stand
I thought about it and realised,
Now that is what I call shopping.

Now thatβs the sort of shopping trip my husband loves. Sadly they tend to last much longer and can often be unproductive lol. I must confess, I might have to own up there!! We also love our wine. Happy Friday Andy. Enjoyed both Dean and your poetry.
Yes most shopping trips do last much longer but this one was superb.
Enjoy your wine Cassie but always in moderation.

Good write Gold.
So you didn't get mown down my any electric-powered wheelchairs while shopping?! They come at ya at about 90mph.
Thanks Orchi.
No not this time, there were none on the road for me to push over. LOL
Andy
Dunno why you don't do it all online - you only have to get rid of the cardboard after....
Even on line they come in cardboard boxes Dave. I like seeing real people and we can chat face to face.

I was being a tad ironical, Andy. Shopping online usually results in more cardboard and packing in volume by a country mile than the item purchased. As an individual shopper it is sometimes possible to take your own container/bag.
A terrific poem,
smoothe, relaxing, π
and went down easy! π·πΎππ
Much enjoyed!

Thank you Thad, much appreciated.
