O bread of life, come to us, feed

Then shall we ne'er have hunger need

For you, Jesus, ample supply

Do give daily, it ne'er shall die

 

As we pray, so daily bread you

Give us, physical, spiritual

Enough for each day to sustin

Us with this staple food here plain

 

As you fed more than five thousand

To the crowd's hunger you did tend

With two fishes, five loaves bread, when

E'en twelve baskets left over then

 

You are the bread of heaven, you

Came down from heaven, it is true

And you give life unto the world

Your plan, purpose to us unfurled
