Tune: Rangoon

('Trumpet of God, sound high')

***************

Praise to the King of Kings

Creation to you now sings

You, Lord, Redeemer high

To you all your people cry

Come assist us by your grace

That by faith we may see your face

Praise to the King of Kings

Praise to Christ Jesus, the Son

The Saviour, the only one

Who makes our salvation sure

He is worthy for evermore

Come repenting, turn to Him true

He forgives you, and makes you new

Praise to Christ Jesus the Son

Praise to the Spirit free

Changes us to Christ's image, see

Each small thing of life's tapestry

Woven by Him lost gloriously

Wind of God, dove, oil, and fire*

Your bright beams shine, you Morning Star

Praise to the Spirit free

O God great Three in One

Holy mystery, Trinity

Yet revealed here for us to see

And your children, family we be

For the gospel message sounds

Now proclaimed to all lands, abounds

O God great Three in One

  • Comment from author about the poem: A hymn-poem in 6.7.6.7. 7.8.6. I can't find a video of the hymn, nor another hymn that fits this metre, as it's an unusual metre. The hymn is not that old. It was popular in the years1910-1960.

Thanks Gold. A pity I could not find a video. The hymn sometimes is accompanied with trumpets. They would drown me out. lol.
