And All That's Gold

Teddy.15

Dancing shadows of leaves
tells me it's autumn

colorful shades
turning from bright green
to yellow and pink
pumpkin orange
then to soft rusty brown

warm sunshine beaming
through the, soon to be
skeleton of the great oak

and all the while

I’m wondering…

how could the transition
from this now, sleeping summer
be so darn glorious?

I love the reference to fall as a sleeping summer. A most glorious right about autumn in all of its splendor.

Couldn't agree with your love of Autumn more, Teddy

An added note: I wish it were Autumn here now in all its glory, as it would mean we have survived Summer......

            • Teddy.15

Survived summer, it's like that here too, this was the hottest August since 2015 apparently, I was lucky to spend time at the sea but it's still like being in an over at 220c. Thank you, may this coming season of summer be kind to you. 🌹

                      warm sunshine beaming
                      through the, soon to be
                      skeleton of the great oak

Beautiful way to describe how the oak doesn’t know of his demise in the next season (as the sun is beaming through it) very lovely Teddy…
