Notice of absence from Tom Dylan
Sorry if there is a delay in replying or if I'm away for short periods. Sometimes life gets in the way. As John Lennon says, life is what happens while you're busy making other plans.

My poems are my mind trying to process,
to capture a feeling, a moment,
to take a Polaroid snapshot,
to paint a picture,
to frame an abstract work of art,
to translate something inexplicable
into a language I can understand.
My poems are my speaking aloud,
the ordered words of the chaos
bouncing around my head,
like a ball on a roulette wheel.
I’m going all in, but who knows where
it will land, the wheel is still spinning.
My poems are my taking for a walk
the black Labrador of my imagination,
across unchartered fields,
with stormy skies overhead,
I throw a stick for the dog and walk on.
My poems are talking to myself,
arguing, debating, laughing, rambling on,
whistling along to the tune in my head,
but you know what they say,
it could be verse.

But none saith, where is God my maker, Who giveth songs in the night; Who teaches us more than the beasts of the earth, and makes us wiser than the fowls of heaven?

Well if truth is poetry you are a poet. What is imagination? It's what we think up, using our experiences, our memory, our language skills and some of our imaginative thoughts. It all rattles around in our brains and falls out as a poem we hope.
You poem describes your personal method of achieving poetic success. Let it be so. - Phil A.
