You said your love 'twould always stay,

and told me you would never stray.

Your promises you did betray,

'Twas all an act just a screenplay.

Your words of love surely did sway.

But these were lies to my dismay.

These tears are real that I display.

Now my blue skies have all turned gray.

I feel just like a castaway.

I shan't forget that fateful day.

Now my whole life's in disarray.

My heart stopped beating yesterday.

    Aww, let's dedicate this to Ben Affleck, whose latest matrimonial ventures ended remarkably fast. I've allus said my heart's been made a jigsaw puzzle for all the times it's been broken too many times sans matrimony. You do know how to write such perfect pieces, even when it's downright heartbreaking. Me loves. Too perfectly rendered with a haunting poignancy and superb detailing.         A poem of sadness, betrayal, and disillusion. Because one fails on one’s first try there is no need to close the door. I love the rhyme in this poem and it’s flow towards the end. Nicely written.
