be different ..
The defining moment
will always be
remarkably the same ..
Some things tho
never change do they ..
Somehow,
they just become even
more indelible,
somewhere on the way ..

A poem which is open to much thought. Life and death. It doesn’t matter where we come from or what our journey is like, or whether we are rich or poor, we are all going to die. And as we age, inevitable thoughts of death, become more indelible. No escape for any of us. While I read these lines, my mind also travelled to your recent Crumbs poem. You always create much thought with your writing Neville. You stimulate the mind.

You are right Neville there are several ways of looking at things and as I looked at this poem I saw many but again you are right the outcome is always the same. No matter what we do death is the final word for one and all and this becomes indelibly clear as we grow older. Beautiful and probably not the intended interpretation but so be it.

This applies to so many things all at once. It’s perfect. It’s confounding If I already wasn’t addicted to having you as a brother I’d be looking for petty reasons to not like you. So often I struggle to pinpoint instead of circling, and then you say something poignant about everything all at once in a mere 34 words. !!!
