Do not weep for me
let your heart not feel sorrow
for my life
now faded into yesterday
with no more tomorrow
wish me well
as it is I, who will weep
it is I who will feel the loss
without touch or a vision of your smile
achievement, of all that I wished for
is the greatest pair of shoes
I could have ever worn
and I wore them well
and now as I amble from day to day
into eternity
forever knowing
I no longer leave footprints
I know you still think of me
and I will sleep well.

you have taken your poetry to a new level here Teddy.
a wonderfully written work of art.
Thank you dear Melvin, I am most honoured dear friend. 🌹
Teddy this sounds so Shakesperian and has a forboding forshadow to it that at the same time is so lovely and bright. Very dramatic and romantic I really like this one very much
Yes, I'm convinced thank you my dear sorrenbarret 🌹
Excellent write Teddy
Thank you. 🌹
You're welcome
Greving properly is healing. The dead are hopefully at peace. Nice work here.
Thank you so much dearest Dan, this time I turned it round and it worked. 🌹
This is a wonderful piece of poetry Teddy and I will do something I rarely do and put it into my favourites.
Andy
Well Mr Goldfinch I'm beyond humbled, to see this, and truly honoured. Thank you with all my heart. 🌹
So well penned dear Teddy. Dramatic and determined words. It would make a hugely successful BBC drama. Thinking of an actress who could play leading lady. Have a super weekend 🌹
Well me of course lol 🤣 happy Saturday and thank you dearest Cassie 🌹 but if it wasn't me it would have to be Kate Winslet or patsy from absolutely fabulous 🤩
Ha ha. Patsy would turn it into comedy best but Kate would make it titanic. You my dear poet would make a wonderful leading lady with your star quality ⭐️
❤️
What on earth is THIS, sweet Teddy, that silence haunts its presence? I was too beleaguered when I first saw it and now am befuddled. Fascinating and intriguing, rendered to effect with excellent poignancy and grand similes, whatever shall I do now?! Thank you very much for sharing. Love you!
So incredibly kind dearest and most fabulous Jenny, thank you from the bottom of my heart ❤️
