Not gonna March

Tony36

 Ain't gonna march no more

I won't be a slave to your dogs of war

Just because they bark

Don't mean I have to answer the call

You say it is for the good of the nation

Yeah right

Sending our

Men

Women

Children

Brothers

Sisters

Aunts

Uncles

 Cousins

And the list could go on and on

How is sending them to die

Good for our nation

Maybe I'm missing something

It sounds more like mass murder to me

Ain't gonna march no more

I won't be a slave to your dogs of war

Just because they bark

Don't mean I have to answer the call

Preach it, brother! You've hit the proverbial nail on the head. Hmm. Wonder how many else know, at this rate? Excellently rendered with a subtle poignancy. Striking. Thank you for sharing.

A poignant piece. Far too many have sacrificed their lives over the years. Negotiation, not weapons of war. Well penned Tony.

I wish I could believe stands like yours would have good effect. There have been wars as long as there has been humans, not likely to change. Nice try though.
