I have to admit, I did enter all my credentials
even knowing that my information
wouldn't be excepted
I was a fake
an imposter
after all I'm not American
and I've only ever been on American soil
for a few weeks in my entire life
but I did feel the need to try my luck
If for nothing else but for pity
after all one less vote for Trump
would surely make the world greater?
when the computer finally refused my application
I went to have a long hot bubble bath
to find my serenity
and as I lay there in the comfort
of my surrounding candle light
and my generous helping of merlot
I couldn't help but think
about the honest American people
the ones who really want to make America great again
I wonder if they will ever
be able to bathe again in serenity?

Politics not my cup of tea. Never the less the poem was great and the message was clear. Trump is not a favorite of many over seas and also by many on his home ground as his pierced ear would attest.
Thank you so much dearest sorrenbarret, as an expat myself having watched my country go through the Brexit drama and not being able to do my part I do feel for those who are watching it all unfold from afar but Americans abroad have many channels to use their votes, so I do hope they use them wisely, I've been here in Florence for more than 22 years I've never ever met an American who likes Trump, but as a duel citizen of two states of Europe myself, I do look on in Horror the world is on its knees and Trump won't make things better we would really be facing a world drama this time, if you ask me he showed the seeds last time he was in charge. As you know Teddy, Politics is also not one of favorite subjects. But its also something that I'll stand up against when the honest good people are being taken advantage of by the likes of Trump and his Minions. There are some people in the world who have low IQs, sad but that's part of life. But I fail to understand how not just one (Trump) can be so stupid with his outrageous lies and claims, but that so many people can be stupid enough to believe in him and support him. They make him out to be the greatest thing to ever happen to our country. I feel our forefathers turning over in their graves in embarrassment and disgust. Personally, I believe he will be his own worst enemy in defeating himself. Even Republicans are against him now. Thank you for this post in declaring your support for the good people of America.
