From The Hilltop Sonnet.

Goldfinch60

From the hilltop I look over the land

The beauty of the greenery below

Flowing the whole way to horizons band

The green of many hills both high and low.

The land is interspersed with bands of brown

Where the woods and forests grow to the sky

And from where I am standing look low down

But bring beauty and wonder to my eye.

The glory and beauty of this great view

Brings such happiness and love to my mind

I am so lucky as all my life through

Nature’s wonder has to me been so kind.

Nature has become part of my long life

And I hope that it never comes to strife.

Ooh, but this delicious ambiance is very perfect accompanying your dainty sonnet extolling Wordworth's merry England I so dearly wanted to relocate to 14 years agone. How winsome and rendered almost delicately with such details as cull to mind all we cherished. Very, very beautiful. Thank you so much for sharing, Sir.
