It's alright Little Darling

Teddy.15

It’s alright little darling

dry your solemn tears

tomorrow is another day

and tomorrow will be yesterday’s year

Your tears, worthy for your loss

but now it’s time to stop

put your pretty head up high

with the rain, the sun you’ll swap

and for every tear you’ve cried

your heart, I know has surely burst

but I promise you my darling

you’ve now come through the worst

It’s alright little darling

dry your solemn tears

tomorrow is another day

and tomorrow will be yesterday’s year.

So endearing encouragement from a mother's heart. And a damn fine poet too. 🌹

"It's not easy when you're so small" quoth Piglet. When I'm in the thick of it the storm clouds are too thick, but thank you so very much for your kind remonstration, that refrain to drive home the brighter point. Beautifully rendered with a winsome charm and haunting poignancy, dainty bits of imagery and that heartening encouragement to lift up our eyes and look up, no longer down, this is too loving and sweet. Thank you so very much for sharing, dear Teddy! Love you!

Very Lennon and McCartney-ish. Sounds like a song. Very nice.

Words that took me back to when my daughters were small and there is nothing like your child's tears to melt a parents heart. A most tender and loving poem of reassurance that hugs the reader with warm arms. Lovely my friend
