Fumbles

Teddy.15

Fumbles was my floppy eared pet rabbit
that I loved with all my heart
Until the day he ran a mock
and was squashed by a fishmongers cart
That day will live forever with me
And here, I'll tell you why
Fumbles was the only thing
I thought would never die.

  • Comment from author about the poem: I have blocked Doggeral Dave simply because I'm tired of his bad behaviour towards anyone he doesn't agree with on this site. I'm tired of his arrogance and his manner to dictate what we write and think. Stick it David. I look forward to reading yet another post from you about me, this time I would ask all those who love me not to participate in his lonely theatre. Happy Saturday. And my last note directly to Doggeral Dave, on my poem in silence and disbelief you always write people die in war, like it's ok what happened, well David New York that day was not at war they were at work and sight seeing and taking their children to school and buying fruit at the market and flying in air planes for work and pleasure. ๐Ÿด๓ ง๓ ข๓ ฅ๓ ฎ๓ ง๓ ฟ๐ŸŒนโค๏ธ

This poem is a mixture of a fun read with sadness, tragedy, fantasy, melencholy and child like belief. It touches the heart, not just at the loss, but at the innocense of a child. Lovely

Thank you dearest Jerry it's a metaphor today but in any case I did have a beautiful rabbit when I was a child and I'm glad to say Although he died he wasn't run over by that fish cart. Thank you dear Jerry. ๐ŸŒน

Wonderful poem about your pet bunny. I hope though that some disillusion man named Trump or David doesn't come along saying that you're eating your pets. Oh, the drama people make up. ๐Ÿ™„

It's hard being a rabbit, sure, but those harsh comments might not be needed. Say what you want though, I am bulletproof.

Thank you Dan. I have nothing else to add, anyone who knows me here will understand. You certainly don't need to be bulletproof around me.. ๐ŸŒน

Rabbits can be so endearing animals Teddy my step daughter and her two daughters kept them and they were the world to them.
