Taking pen to paper
Or
Fingers to keyboard
I start
One word
Two
Three
Soon they start pouring out of me
First a creek
A stream
A river
An ocean of words
File onto the page
Pouring faster and faster
Word after word
Line after line
Until finally
There is nothing left in me

Good write Tony
Thank you
Ah the muse! Beautifully divine when the muse calls and the words flow. Excellent write!
Thank you
Ha, been there, done that and lost count of the number of Tee shirts I've worn out in the process ..
Thank you
Relatable, nice write Tony
Thank you Max
I declare! The mounting sense which in conclusion finds itself spent is too good. Simplicity triumphs in this winsomely rendered little number whose poignancy is delightfully lively yet subtle. Thank you for sharing.
Thank you and you're welcome
Likewise.
Some days the dam bursts, others the well seems empty. Oh how the muse seems to flit from soul to soul, turning their attention in such a flippant manner. I am jealous Tony! Great expression about being inspired!
Thank you
That is one way to do it Tony. With me usually the dam breaks and after the flood I have to clean up the mess redam the river and the flow slows down. Love your description of the process. Nicely done my friend
Thank you
Well, your dedication pays off; nice write.
Thank you Dan
I ma sure that your ocean of words will soon be full once more Tony.
